Summary and target audience- During the journey from Polland to America, a young girl realizes although she is leaving one home, she will find another as long as she is with her family. The targhet audience would be those children who have or will be experiencing a move.

Evalutaion of Literature- This story is both sad and joyous. The words of the story move like beautiful notes on a page.  It is well written and discusses a rough topic of knowing where you come from and not to where your going.

Literary elements- This storty is a narrative.

Illustrations- Though the illustrations are realistic they do very little in telling the story. To me it appears for the most part the illustrations show secondary interests from the text.

Mini-lesson- I would use this book to teach the children that whether or not you move, home is where the heart is and can be represented for most where the family, whatever it may look like, is.
