Summary and target audience-  This book discusses the ant and the differnet roles they play in the colony. The book talkes about how females are worker ants and the queen ant is in charge of creating new colonies. The book talkes about where the food is gotten from. it goes in detail about thenest where the eggs are kept and so on. Target audience would rbe younger children who are curious of the life of ants and why they live under ground.

Evaluation of Literature- This is a nice overview of the anty and the life they live, it gives a brief life cycle of the ant and and the dangers the face. i would recommend this book.

Literary Elements- This book uses great descriptions of what its like to be an ant and the dangers they face.

Illustrations- The books illustrations are relevant topt he story. They help tie the words together and help make meaning tot he story.

Mini-lesson- i would have an ant farm in class sop that during our science lesson we coul;d watch the life cycle of the ant and how they start and finish into an ant.
