Title- ABC for You and ME
Author- Meg Girnes
Publisher- Albert Whitman & Co. 2000
Illustrator- Photos by Shirley Leamon Green
Genre- Children's Picture Book
Readability Lexile- 3-8

Summary and target audience- The is a simple book that goes thriough the alphabet and has a letter that cooresponds to a word and has a picture of a child with special needs and an oblect to represent the word. A is for apple. The target audience would be  young children with special needs or any other child who is learning their alphabet and and what words start with that letter.

Evaluation of Literature- I think this book does a decent job. They have an animal or object represent each letter of the alphabet..

Literary elements- i am not sure about the literary elements because there isn;'t much tect that corresponds with the book.
Illustrations- This book does a good job representing children with special needs and showing hoew they are people too. The joy that these children represent and the show the letter and objects with pride is heart warming.

Mini-lesson- I would use this book as a read aloud and have the class see what other words start with each letter of the alphabet.
